I had a friend named Jeff Luce who passed away shortly after graduation from high school.  We played football together.  He was a big guy and played on the offensive line.  When I was commissioned by the 49’ers to be part of the permanent collection at their new Levi Stadium I knew I wanted to do something for the offensive lineman.  So I picked the 1989 49er’s, a Super Bowl winning year and the year my friend, Jeff and I graduated high school. Once again,  perspective is used to make us the viewer become Joe Montana in the pocket.  We have the ball, the defense is coming to get us…No fear!
