The idea for this painting came to me when I was dealing with someone who I thought was a narcissist wondering how I could go about to paint this “idea” of a narcissist.  Once again I ran to perspective to help me.  The laws of perspective are not according to the viewer but rather according to the central figure in the piece. I am playing the role of the narcissist. The audience are all famous painters of the past who are adorning me with roses for my brilliance. It is my turn to be on stage, they had their turn.  I can hear their voices when I am painting. They are what I hear to help me through each painting.
