This is a mashup between two ying and yang ideas.   “Chuy y Mauricio” one of the most popular Mexican corridos (Mexican songs about outlaws, the hip hop music of Mexico) about two drug dealers from Sinaloa.  Needing a yang to the ying led me to telling the story as if it were a ride at Disneyland.  Not just any ride, specifically a ride called “America Sings”. A ride that told the story about the two hundred year history of music in America.  I took specific characters in this ride and applied it to “Chuy y Mauricio” and called it “Mexico Canta”.
